Description
Startup Anarchist recovers Mikhail Bakunin’s 1842 line — “the passion for destruction is also a creative passion” — and the idea Joseph Schumpeter built from it and the world misread. Across three movements it argues that the destroyer was always a builder: that the impulse behind every company worth making is not competition but the refusal to accept that the existing arrangement is the only one. It moves from the stolen sentence through the two houses of competition and cooperation, the knowledge no platform can centralize, and the things built to die, to a structure with no throne in it and a seed that waits a hundred years for the heat that lets it grow.
“There is a structure you can stand inside that has no throne in it.”
